What are you going to do this Lent?
Lent is a time in the christian year for self-examination,
penitence, self-denial, study and preparation for Easter.
Every year we try to offer a variety of worship and study
experiences in order that we might reflect more deeply on
our own journey of faith. Here are some of the events available
this Lent. We hope that there will be something for everyone!

Re: Lent
with Bishop Mark Saturday 6th February, 4-7pm, St John's Church
Hall, ALL WELCOME!
re:Lent is a new creative worship event to help you explore
forgiveness and reconciliation along with others, both young
and old. It's for people of all ages, come with families,
friends, neighbours, or simply by yourself.
Led by
the Bishop of Middleton, re:Lent will explore Jesus
story of the Good Samaritan. The event has been timed to enable
children to attend, as well as young people and adults.
Each session
will include food, bible study and interactive creative activities.
The project will culminate in an Easter celebration at Manchester
Cathedral on Saturday 24 April when the fruit of the creative
work will be revealed and put on display. Please bring a packed
tea and we will provide cake and drinks.
Let Steve
Dixon or Susie Mapledoram know if you can attend by calling
